Welcome to Chateau

During its long history, the chateau has belonged to many owners, withstood a fire, and undergone extensive renovations.  It has recently survived 40 years of neglect and deterioration during the time in was nationalized during the Communist regime.  (See the History section for more interesting facts and events which have happened here.)

In 1993 the chateau was returned, minus furnishings and paintings, and in very poor repair,  to the descendants of its last owner, Jaroslav Hasek.

Since 1996, the family has been working with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, to restore the buildings and grounds to their former state.  Today, after more than 20 years of work, it is coming to life again.

We're inviting you to come and have a look, or stay with us.  Chateau Prcice and the surrounding areas have a lots for you to see and do.
